Dean Hooker is a fast becoming one of the leading forces in the REO/Foreclosure real estate field. Dean began his career while attending college as an assistant manager for the REO/Foreclosure office at Southeast Realty 13 years ago and is now the owner of Southeast REO. He has incorporated his knowledge as an REO specialist for the last 13 years for South Florida assets into successfully managing the assets of the largest bank accounts in the nation including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. National City Mortgage recognized his professionalism and standards of work in the South Florida market after 10 years of service and made him one of the state managers for Florida handling assets throughout the entire state since 2002. He has closed approx. 500 assets in the past 12 months tailoring the REO Department to the specific needs of the clients. In 2004, his REO volume for closed sales was over $50 million. He was recently interviewed in the December issue of REO Magazine for his analysis of the future of the Florida REO/Foreclosure market. He is soon to be a contributor to several REO trade publications for his skills and ability to predict trends in the national REO/Foreclosure field. Southeast REO is recognized nationally as one of the premier examples of asset management professionals within the default specialists industry.
When he began his career in REO, he began to specialize in Broker Price Opinions (BPO’s) as an alternative to appraisals. He was awarded the Most Accurate BPO’s in the Southeast United States by Fannie Mae, one of his many REO clients throughout his career. Mr. Hooker’s BPO Department is considered one of the most trusted valuation departments in the REO field and is used as a primary source of valuation for over 20 clients. In addition, Dean has incorporated his REO business with the St Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis, TN. Dean has been a sponsor of the St Jude’s for many years and began Christmas Sponsorship of his REO clients making donations in their name during the holiday season and throughout the entire year.
